I'm 34 weeks with my first & have gone from being so constipated it was like trying to pass a lump of granite to just having had my 6th poo of the day. It's been like this for a week now.
I don't feel ill & i've not changed my diet, i'm still taking the iron tablets. It's not loose really, just a bit fluffy Blush

I'm astonished every time i go, I just don't know where it's all coming from...is this normal around this stage?

Normal for nearing labour IMO.

stripeyZ · 21/02/2012 23:23

Oh. How near is nearing? I've still got half a trimester to go. Plus DH is away this week, so I'm home alone until the weekend. Been 10 times in total now. Hope it isn't too near.

I am also 34 weeks and was just thinking the same thing, especially the 'fluffy' part :)

I've had this starting at 34/35 weeks and am still pregnant (38+4)! It could well be things starting but it may also be your body changing what it can handle. Hopefully though it's things getting going for youSmile

pleased it's not just me then! Seem to be spending most of the day in the loo which is a bit embarrassing. I hate pooing in public toilets Blush

Hopefully it's not the start of anything - im nowhere near ready!

I'm 33 weeks and this started a few days ago for me, right after i started a thread on here saying i can't wait to do a MASSIVE poo lol

It's still not the big torpedo i can't wait for but it does feel nice to be pooing better instead of little rabbit droppings that i've had for weeks, i feel more cleared out lol

spannermary · 22/02/2012 16:34

Ooh goodness: I'm 33+3: I wonder if this is coming my way!

stripeyZ · 22/02/2012 22:48

Ha ha! Yes much more satisfying than trying to squeeze out the granite poos, although I'm now feeling rather sore following an epic 17 trips in two days!

Pregnancy is so lovely Grin

Hi Im 33+4 and I had issues with constipation piles etc etc but it has all seemed,to heal up and I havnt been so sore and now im going like no tomorrow and its made sore all over again I think its the bodys way of ensuring we are regular and cleared out for birth???!!! This is my second but I cant remember bits like this from last time!x

I think it's to do with the effects of hormones making muscles and everything more stretchy ? , need a lovely midwife to explain properly ....
