Sorry I know it's not exciting to anyone else, but I just found out 3 minutes ago and wanted to tell someone other than DH (who is over the moon) and my 15mo DS (who frankly was fairly indifferent). Yay!!!!! I'm so excited!

Thanks.

WeeLors · 21/02/2012 08:35

Congratulations!!!

I'm the same, got my BFP yesterday and was dying to tell anyone (thank god I didn't run into any close family or friends yesterday).

Think I'm in delayed shock this morning though Shock

Evilwater · 21/02/2012 08:43

Wee,
I'm just a few days ahead of you.(I found out on Friday) I'm starting to get excited and scarred at the same time.
It's a very werid time. One minute I'm excited and can't wait to shout it out. Then I think how early it is, and wonder if it will last.
I'm going to see the GP tomorrow, and the midwife in march. It all seems to good to be true.

befuzzled · 21/02/2012 08:46

Congratulations to you all!

GizzyBoo · 21/02/2012 10:01

Congratulations Thanks

WeeLors · 21/02/2012 16:55

I know what you mean evilwater, I don't want to get too excited in case it doesn't stick cos its so early (esp as I've suffered from pre-menstrual spotting since having DS). I've got a good feeling though!! Its also scary to think of going through pregnancy and labour again and don't get me started on the thought of looking after a toddler and a newborn together......but despite all that I'm so thrilled I could burst Grin

Spent the day with DM today and I've no idea how I'm going to keep it to myself for a while, I think she may guess soon enough anyway.

Sorry BettyDraper, I hijacked your thread there.

Big congrats again

BettyDrapersWardrobeElf · 21/02/2012 18:32

Aah thanks everyone! Congrats to Evil and Wee. I can't believe I've managed to get through today without telling anyone (except you lot obviously). To be fair it was my day off and I haven't spoken to anyone who'd be remotely interested (sales assistant in next, gas meter reader man, one giving us a quote for double glazing - now now, don't all be too jealous of my crazy and glamourous lifestyle)
Wee I know what you mean about worrying about coping with a newborn and a toddler. DS has been an absolute sod today, he seems to have suddenly become incredibly wilful - great timing! I've also just remembered how much I hated being pregnant 1st time round - hideous nausea and vomiting till 20 weeks and then was just so massive I was uncomfortable in very conceivable position. Urgh.

Still, yay!

This will be my first, so betty and wee you have an idea of how it's surposed to be. Congratulations everyone!
Tired to look at books and was really puzzled. So many of them........

Ew

WeeLors · 22/02/2012 10:17

We're painting such a lovely picture of pregnancy aren't we Evil? You may be one of those who glows throughout and is a picture of serenity and comfyness lucky cow or you may be like a beached whale with nausea and SPD like I was first time round - the end result is wonderful regardless though. Oh you'll go mad if you look at loads of books, think I spent half my pregnancy googling (baby is the size of a pea... baby is the size of a bigger pea... baby is the size of a plum.... you get the idea). I got a really good book out of the library in the end. It was called The Day by Day Pregnancy book, can highly recommend as it had a pic of the foetus at every day of development (scan pics) and loads of good reading.

Betty - somebody told me once that when your child gets to about 18mths its such a lovely stage that you can't wait to have another one, then you get pregnant again and your previously lovely toddler hits the terrible twos (before age 2 ime) - loads of fun!!! Yep, I'm the same, pregnancy is a means to a wonderful end for me, I was miserable towards the end of the last one, so happy I went into labour 11 days early.

P.S. your life sounds as glamourous as mine Grin

GizzyBoo · 22/02/2012 10:34

Wee if I see anyone floating around looking a picture of health and serenity during their first trimester I shall personally poke them in the eye!

WeeLors · 22/02/2012 11:12

I'll help you Gizzy

Although I'm hoping to be one of them.... surely I had my fair share of feeling crap in my last pregnancy? damn I bet I feel worse in this one

Evilwater · 22/02/2012 20:00

wee and dizzy
Went to the drs today and she says the sickness will start in the next few weeks!
Yay?!

Still got this aching feeling/cramping and the doc says its fine.
Can't wait to see the midwife!!

MyLittleMiracle · 22/02/2012 20:08

Congratulations, to you lovely ladies! Hope you are feeling okay and dont suffer from morning sickness...i did a little, but so did my now exH, but dreadfully...think puking up at sight of food in pub toilets!

WeeLors · 22/02/2012 20:11

Glad you saw the doc Evil and she reassured you about your symptoms etc at this stage. It'll be very exciting seeing the midwife and getting the ball rolling.

He he, you'll not be so happy about the sickness once its here though, I'm dreading it.

roguepixie · 22/02/2012 20:13

Congratulations Betty, such wonderful news. Thanks

Congratulations to all other pregnant ladies on the thread too.

Evilwater · 22/02/2012 20:14

As long as it means the baby is healthy and ok, I couldn't care less.
My employer however may not be so thrilled..... Hehe

Appently I'm due in November! That seems forever away! 35 weeks however, not so much

Evilwater · 22/02/2012 20:15

I forgot to add I congrats to you too.
