WHY does my DH find it so outrageous that a 6 piece bumper/bedroom set costs over £70
In fact why does my DH think EVERYTHING is overpriced and a rip of and generally huff about spending money on things for the baby, but then buys himself an expensive guitar amp he will never use without batting an eye lash
is he throwing his toys out of his pram? haha

substitute guitar amp for camera...

babybouncer · 20/02/2012 21:02

A bedroom set costing over £70!?!?

thefurryone · 20/02/2012 21:03

I wouldn't pay £70 for a bumper set either Grin.

Evilwater · 20/02/2012 21:04

Don't worry I got one of these, oh the shower has been on too long.... But mine bought an exercise bike. ( it's been used twice)

I think it's something about, them not being the centre of attention.

ImpOfThePerverse · 20/02/2012 21:14

Bumpers aren't recommended for safety reasons so you'd probably be better off spending £70 on something else.

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 20/02/2012 21:29

On the bumper set I am rather with your DH I'm afraid. £70 is an outragous amount. Gosh, I don't think I have spent that much on all the bedding and clothes combined!

JiltedJohnsJulie · 20/02/2012 21:40

I'm with your DH too. There again I had two DC who refused to go anywhere near their cots for at least 14 months.

Trickle · 20/02/2012 22:08

Oooo can I have the guitar amp for DH, both of us will use it Grin

wafflingworrier · 20/02/2012 22:20

hahaha! the amp is his pre-baby-crisis buy to say to himself that his secret ambition to become a rockstar will not be hampered by the arrival of his baby. my husband's purchase was a gortex coat to go alpine walking in
...because obviously it's still possible to take a small child up a glacier...Hmm
just pat him on the head and say everything will be allright.

"I know 70 is a lot but it goes with my nursery set" Just hope you don't get one's like mine then pudding. DS was physically sick repeatedly if he slept anywhere but on me, for 9 MONTHS, and DD slept ok in her moses basket by our bed for the first 3 months and then would sleep nowhere else but tucked up in bed with me for the next 11 months.

The current recommendations are for the baby to share your room for the first 6 months, see here, so I hope you can see your lovely new set from your bed Smile.
