So... here I am 28w pregnant with twins, and today I got a headache, dizziness and nausea. I phoned the day assessment unit at my clinic and gave her the symptoms, asked whether it could wait till my routine appt tomorrow or would they prefer me to come in and get BP checked today. Know what she said? "Have you tried paracetamol?"

WTF? I'm phoning up so you can assess my symptoms and tell me whether I need to get tested for pre-eclampsia! I'm not phoning up for advice on how to get rid of a bloody headache... you wonder what they think we did before we got up the duff. Do they think we were sitting in the house clutching our heads going "oh my god... if only someone would invent something that could take this feeling away!"

It's true - I'd like to be able to say to her no, you don't understand, I'm stoic! I'm one of the sensible ones! I just don't want to sit there with a pile of symptoms that say pre-eclampsia, faint in Sainsbury's and then get taken to hospital and have the A&E doc tell me I should have told all this to my midwife...
