BIRMINGHAM WOMENS HOSPITAL?

Hi,

I am currently trying to decide which hospital to have my baby at after being told I cannot go to my first choice from my GP! Second choice is Bham Womens but I have heard mixed reviews....anyone have any good or bad stories of there to share?

I had DD there last year and they were brilliant - a long traumatic delivery and we had to stay in for 5 days. Without exception the staff I encountered were lovely, despite being clearly overstretched (was a bank holiday weekend). Is there anything in particular that you'd like to know?

I should add that I had to have DD in the delivery suite due to a medical condition, so cannot personally comment on the birth centre, although friends have had good experiences there also.
