Hi,

This is a very odd situation to be in. I am my 2nd pregnancy and for my first I was induced early due to pre-eclampsia and my DS didn't drop until labour. However I am 29 weeks pregnant with no.2 and since Monday my bump has dropped significantly so much so that my cousin was shocked to see me today after we were together Monday and nervously asked if I had packed my bag. Is she right to worry me or is this one just getting comfy and ready for a few weeks wait?

She is most probably worrying you for nothing. This happened to me when LO turned from being transverse (when he/she was very high up and in a tight ball) to head down, sitting much lower in my pelvis. Everyone noticed the immediate change in shape and position from one day to the next, and it's stayed like that since.

If you are really worried get the midwife to feel your tummy and maybe have a quick look with a speculum. Chances are everything is absolutely hunky dory Smile

Thanks hotpink, I have come to that conclusion as well - my baby was high and transverse but now I can feel her down below if you know what I mean. Also I know it happened Friday night as the need to wee was excruciating that night I was up on the hour every hour. It is still quite bad but ho-hum still only 11 -13 weeks to go!

I think mine dropped around 30 weeks last time. I could feel him doing headspins on my cervix and people were practically following me around with hot water and towels. He stayed put 'til 42 weeks..

I went out today as I had some paperwork to take to the bank it was murder - I was waddling like a duck still must be stoic and live with it for the next few weeks. I just keep saying to myself even if I go over it is less than 3 months
