Is it worth doing in the hope it 'does' something or is it just going to hurt for no good reason? 37+2 so happy to go into labour now!

I thought it was supposed to relieve pain not cause it!!
Where did you get yours btw?

It helps with my spd and backache, but my baby has dropped a bit and if I rock my hips the pressure on my cervix hurts! Stabby pain.

DH ordered me this I was a bit Shock at the price! but it's fine. I had been looking at this one as I was buying one the cds anyway. :)

Afraid I don't know but will watch the thread with interest in the hope you get an answer, as I'm in the same position but 1 day behind you Smile

I just got a gym ball from Argos and it seems to do the same job. You just need to check that you get the right size, but I think it was only about £8-9

I never felt comfortable using a birth ball during pregnancy.

Davina does it hurt your cervix? It is only since the baby has engaged a bit that this has happened. I can make it hurt by doing certain motions on the ball but not sure if it does anything other than just hurt, so could be hurting myself for no reason. Confused

I don't think it hurts my cervix particularly, in that it's not noticeably worse when I'm on it. It's much more comfy than the sofa though. I tend to just do little circles or side to side movements with my legs as wide as I can get them. Dead ladylike, me Grin

But I do remember when I actually was in labour last time, it was really painful on the cervix, so maybe it's a sign things might be nearer to happening for you? Smile
