How do I get a D&C on the day I want (is private an option?)

I had an early scan at 7 weeks yesterday. Was told that I'm either earlier in the pregnancy than I thought (5% chance), or the baby gave up at 5 1/2 weeks (95%....in my heart, I know this is the case, I stopped feeling pregnant over a week ago).
I'm going in for another scan on Friday (Sunday today), and will find put then what's what. I would prefer to have a D&C than let nature take its course (I did that at 11 weeks once and I would rather just not see the aftermath).
My hubby is supposed to be going abroad on Saturday, and whilst he's totally 'ofcourse I won't go' I really just want to have the D&c on Friday, with him there, and then just get on with things (have lots of friends who'll look after me if needed).
So, I need to ensure that I can defo have D&C that day. Am wondering if there's any way of getting it booked in, privately if necessary. Does anyone know how I would do this? Somehow, it would be a weight off my mind at a rubbish time.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Sorry that its not looking hopeful for this pregnancy. If you had the D+C on friday will you be well enough for your DH to go abroad the next day?

Do you have a private hospital near to you? If they do gynae work you could call them and see.

The alternative would be to ask the NHS hospital what their usual procedure is. I have seen some people have the D+C on the same day as the scan.

I would say let your husband stay home because leaving you after having this done might be very hard for him too.

I am so sorry about your loss.

Thanks. Now I'm panicking, because I've read loads of stuff about misdiagnosis...and am wondering if I should let nature take its course (in some vain hope of it being miraculous good news). I've got til Friday to decide. Feels like an age away.

How long is your DH away for? Would it be an option to wait until he returns before you have definitive scanning?
