Gross question re mucus plug

Hi ladies

Sorry in advance if tmi but... Just wiped and had an enormous piece of cm. it wasn't blood tinged. Could it be a show or just 'an enormous piece of cm'?!

I feel a bit ridiculous asking the question as this is my 2nd pregnancy but I can't remember what happened the first time round!

After my sweep at 40 weeks with my 2nd DS mine started coming away and it looked like rice pudding consistancy with a bit of a greenish tinge to it, it just kept coming in globs!

I never did see the blood tinged bit.

Went into labour 10 days later, so it may be a while yet!

MTM - wow, 10 days later! I had assumed labour was always within hours rather than days :-)

I have been losing it for the last week and a half and I am 34 weeks tommorow. I dont think it means somoething until it is bloody? could be wrong though

I have read that some women can loose the plug and it can renew itself!

Not sure how true that is.

I think that labour is more likely to be immanent if its the classic bloody snotty show, but who knows with this labour malarky there's no ryhme or reason if you ask me!

Every one is different, and I am exp my 4th DC in 7 weeks and will still be questioning each twinge/sign!

DS2 is still particularly laid back, he was in no hurry to vacate!

I had the same when expecting my second from about 35weeks. It was a very heavy discharge first time I panicked as could feel it run out and thought my waters had gone but it was just cm. it happened about 4 times but always white. Whe in I went into labour at 40 weeks had proper show with blood streak in.

I'm 30 + 4, I lost mine 2 weeks ago...really big blob, confirmed but told not to worry..it rejuvinated itself ... Then lost it again 3 days ago!

Ah confuzed90, did you post about it as I am sure I read that it renews on here recently!
