Hello out there, was looking for a bit of reassurance and advice. The past couple of days I've had the achiest bump, mainly underneath and it feels just like period pains. I've been having pulling pains either side which I've had before but this constant ache is really uncomfortable. I also keep getting little flutters really low down which could be baby, but he's been lying transverse so would have to be poking his arm or leg down there and giving me a tickle! Just wondered if anyone else had this, and have you got any magic tips to ease the aches? Feel like a whale already and still got three+ months to go! Shock

Hi Lordy

I'm 22 weeks and feeling incredibly uncomfortable too! Feels like June is so very far away right now. I keep getting the flutters low down and really struggling with low back pain. I've been having lots of baths and trying to stay off my feet as much as possible but its difficult when life must go on.

Hi Ellesbell, oh it's soooo uncomfortable isn't it?! I work in a gallery so it's quite physical, up and down all day, although I find the more I sit down the achier my bump gets...but the more I'm up and about the achier my back and feet get! In an ideal world I'd get wheeled around on my sofa and fed chocolate until June Smile. Hope you feel more comfortable soon, feet up for the weekend!

Hi Lordy,

I described similar pains to my MW a couple of weeks ago (now 22+2), and she suggested it might be a touch of a UTI - I'd suggested speaking to your MW, because if that is what ti is, it would be good to get to the GP and get some treatment for it.

On the other hand, it could just be general aches, especially if you have to be on your feet a lot because of your job. Try and get as much rest as you can Smile and make sure your work know that you need to take extra breaks - I would think they ought to have some sort of risk assessment for expectant mothers?

Hope you feel a bit more comfortable soon Smile

Hi TeaandHobnobs.....guess what, I've just be been brought tea and a plate of chocolate Hob Nobs!! The universe must be in order today :) Work have been understanding, letting me take it easy - can't remember the last time I did anything strenuous - and they let me work pretty much at my own pace. Good point about UTI's though, if it doesn't ease up I'll go to the docs on Monday. That's one thing I don't want lingering around! Hope you're doing well and not too achy either :)

funny that low down tickling wiggling thing i am 23 weeks and have had it too. went to wee about 6 times in an hour last night so think some part of baby was pressing on my bladder, OH said, well just move it then. What a twit!!!

The tickly thing is so weird! I'm being to think it's wind :) Surfmama, that is hilarious, does you OH expect you to reach up your nethers and slap a small hand away?! HA HA!! Oops, sorry, that's bit much isn't it Wink
I do find the bab has a little shift about and suddenly I need to pee like never before, it's a very strange sensation. Plenty more of this to come with an even bigger bump...oh joy!
