Has anyone else experience this ? i am only approx 4 weeks pregnant. 2 weeks ago and then this morning i have had some v mild but bright red spotting, both times happened the morning after having some fairly hot food the night before.

I might be clutching at straws here, a fortnight ago i convinced myself it was implantation bleeding but now its happened again i am getting really worried!

I have a gp appt next week

I think the curry thing is a coincidence (it doesn't work to bring labour on at full term, no reason why it'd cause bleeding early on)

curry must be a coincidence otherwise the Far Eastern nations would be much smaller than they are! Wink

ontester how are you now? Are you still bleeding? as mn'ers say it can be perfectly normal for some peole to bleed. I have had a bit o pink at 22 weeks but all seems fine. i hope your okay.

Hi surfmama i am just trying to get on with normal stuff and not think about it ! I bought another 2 pregnancy tests this morning, i have a gp appt on tues so think i will test on monday or tuesday before i see them to see what it says.

2 weeks ago it was v light and only lasted a day and i retested 2 days later and still bfp , so i will see how long this lasts.

I had bright red spotting - enough to need a pad at 6, 11 and 22 weeks. Currently 28 weeks and all seems ok - touch wood.

At 6 weeks I had blood tests 2 days apart to check HCG levels were doubling which they were. Then had an early scan at 7 weeks - this showed all was ok with the baby. Despite scans and an internal exam of the cervix they never found any explanation for the bleeding apparently some of us 'just bleed' Its remarkably common - can be implantation bleeding or from a knock to the cervix e.g after dtd.

I will warn you that in my experience GPs are not terribly optimistic early on. I was given a 50/50 chance of my pg continuing. I was much more reassured after ringing the Early pregnancy unit at my local hospital - don't know if you have one?
I know how scary it is though and have my fingers crossed for you.
