6 weeks & Light pink spotting when I wipe, is this the end?

I feel so sad, am 6 weeks pregnant and had some light pidiss potting when I went to the loo tonight, am worried it's all over. I don't know how I will sleep tonight? I need the loo again but am to scared to go. :(

I'm so very sorry to hear that. It's not necessarily the end, no (I spotted from week 10 through to week 20, and still had a successful outcome) but of course you must be terribly worried.

Can you get yourself to an early pregnancy unit in the morning?

Not necessarily.
I bled a few times during my pregnancy, it was extremely worrying but everything was ok. Can you get to a hospital?

Lola try not to worry.
This can be normal in a lot of pregnancies .
It could be the embryo implanting properly .

I feel like they would think I was silly for going to hospital when it is so early on
In the pregnancy. I was going to see how I was in the morning and then go see a doctor? (we have a drop on clinic open on weekends) just been to the loo and there is nothing on my pad ( sorry TMI) but still a little light pink after I wipe.

I don't think it will be anything to worry about. Go to bed and then when you wake in the morning make a doctors appointment x

Hopefully this will be nothing. The same happened to me with both of my pregnancies at the same stage. It was a big worry, spent the day in hospital, but nothing untoward happened and bouncing babies were duly delivered on time, many months later.

light pink spotting on its own is probably absolutely fine, I had it with my first pg and all was normal. I would get it checked out tomorrow for peace of mind but I'm sure all will be ok, if you get any pains during the night then call the early pg unit.

More bleeding this morning, still not too heavy but it's red now. Sad

It looks like it is the bad news
Just to warn you, now it's the weekend, nothing can happen hospital wise.
Call your doctors and see what they say. Most early pregnancy units are closed at weekends so you won't be able to 'sort' this till Monday.

I'm really sorry to hear what you are going through! It is so difficult. In My experience, (from my own 2 mc and my own 2 successful pregnancies, and my siser's 5 mc but 3 succesful pregnancies), is that a tiny amount of blood can mean nothing or mean bad news. And loads of blood can mean nothing or mean bad news. And no blood can also mean nothing or mean bad news (I had a MMC not found until 3 month scan). The only way you can be sure is to get yourself seen by EPU (which no doubt will have to wait until after weekend -or try to get a referral from your drop in clinic today so you can get an appt at EPU early next week) and in the mean time rest and take care of yourself. Me and my sister have had differing amounts of blood in all our pregnancies (the successful ones as well as those ending in mc) and quite a few of my friends had bleeding as well. At this stage you just can't tell what is happenning until someone has a look. But big hugs to you as I know how difficult the not knowing is. I really hope things work out for you.

Thank you ladies for taking the time to reply, it is very kind of you. I am very lucky to have a beautiful dd so taking comfort in her this morning. I am bleeding as if it is a period now. Sad
Is it best to try and get a referral to the EPU then do you think? I realise it's most probably all over now. Sad

Hi there, sorry lolalotta to hear your news, I'd still get it checked out. If you get pain, then I'd go to A&E. I was posting with a similar question, though it's still at the spotting stage.

Why does this have to happen at the weekend?!! Is there anything we can do at the weekend?

morning Lola do you have any pain with the bleeding, if you do you could go to the minor section of a&e they maybe able to scan you. are you bleeding all the time or only when wipe, if its the latter i had that for many weeks on and off and everything was ok, fingers crossed for you :(

Lola I bled like a heavy period for 10 weeks.
It was so heavy they hospitalised me.
I went on to have my DS despite this.
Call your emergency doc who will advise on accsessing the EPU.
Unfortunately they can't always see you straight away ...
Until you are seen you Must have complete bed rest.

I can't stress enough how important bed rest is.
Stay horizontal.

The out of hours doctor is setting up a scan for Monday at the EPU, she happened to be the health visitor I saw with my first so it was nice to talk to someone familiar and she said not to give up all hope yet and to try and sit tight and see what Monday brings at the hospital. It's sooo hard NOT to get hopes up again! xxx

Thank you Nanny plum ( your user name makes me laugh, my 2 year old dd has just stared calling me this along with mummy pig) So sorry you had such a difficult pregnancy, is it really true about the importance of staying horizontal????

So sorry Lola. I know how bad this feels having been through it countless times but the lady who says on its own it means nothing is correct. I bled when I had my DD but I've lost pregnancies with no bleeding. Try not to worry, You are doing the right thing by seeing EPU first thing Monday just to get some reassurance. I've always been told to go about my normal business as nothing will prevent a mc if it's on it's way but my mum who was a midwife would have said rest. So i would do whatever relaxes and reassures you most. I know it's easier said than done but try and keep your mind off things. A good film works for me. I laughed and cried through little miss sunshine on I r such occasion. Having had both good and bad outcomes from this situation all I can say is relax as much as you can in the circumstances and be nice to yourself. And google is a sure fire route to madness. Take care of yourself and let us know how you get on x

Nope i had bleeding at 6 weeks and was convinced it was all over but DD is now 14 months old and sitting right here next to me inspecting the buttons on her jammies Smile

im six weeks pregnant i have light pink discharge when i wipe on and off im very annoyed not knowing whats going i had ultrasound they only saw a yolk sac however ive had 5 csection in the past i dont know if im bleeding because of threatened miscarriage or if its coming from uterus
