Hi everyone. I'm only 12 weeks so not exactly getting stressed about this just yet but we might be moving at some undefined time between now and when baby is due to the Lytham area. Have no idea about hospitals up there ... someone told me Blackpool was better than Preston. Anyone got first/second/third hand experience of either??!

Muchos gracias!

I didn't have dd at either BUT as we live in Chorley we were advised that our local hospital would be Preston due to it's intensive care facilities etc.

We choose Bolton (due to other reasons).

Apparently Preston is a good hospital and the maternity secion is very new and high tech..The majority of new mums off our estate (for some reason it's a very fertile estate!!) have had babies at preston and I haven't heard anything bad.. Sorry i don't know about blackpool..may be worth having a look around both once you move here ?? I don't think you have to decide just yet ???

Good luck with the move and shout if you need anymore info. xx

Both very busy hospitals. Preston is a new unit. Not heard good things about Blackpool.
