Abdominal Circumferance

Had 20 w scan today, sonographer said all okay however I notice head circumferance is 174mm and abdo is 171mm, abdo almost size of head! Femur and abdo over 95th centile, head is on 25th. Does this sound normal to others? Third baby, previous two average sized.

Hi, I have always been told that if there is a problem with growth it always shows in the abdomen first so a nice big tummy means they are being fed well. Maybe the hc was not that accurate? Babies heads can squash quite a bit that early on so maybe it's that. If you are worried you can always call your midwife and ask her to explain the measurements to you

Thanks, I am being irrational I know, have another scan next week to check for cleft lip as baby had hand over face and wouldn't budge . I might mention it then, maybe I am just growing a chubber!

dont worry, the measurements are usually way out!
