Dear all
Im hoping someone has been through something similar and had a happy ending as it was a long while ago since I was last pregnant!..
Im in my late thirties and am already blessed with 3 lovely (older) children. I have discovered I am 5 weeks pregnant (after taking 7 HPT!!) with my new husband, but have worries.
For 8 days I have been loosing a browny 'v.light' period (when wiping and enough to need a p,liner) which Ive found out cld be Implantation bleeding. I also have achy pains both sides of my lower tummy. Boobs occasionally ache but have no other symptoms of being pregnant. Has anyone else had this and how long should bleeding go on for as my doctor was completely dismissive. I know its very early days and understand it MAY be an impending mc, but would I know if I have lost our baby rather than waiting til 12 week scan?
Any feedback would be really appereciated..

I would go to your local early pregnancy unit as they can usually do a scan. This would put your mind at rest at least. I went when pregnant with dd and spotting and it made me feel better.

Many thanx for reply. I didnt think they would see anything on a scan being this early? I suppose they could tell me where the bleeding was coming from?
Shall look into where my EPU is. Thanks again..

I had a scan at 6 weeks and they could the see the baby and the heart beat, but the heart beat was slow. I was told may possibly loose the baby, but I didn't! Good luck

Had my IUS on Friday. Saw a little sac but no embryo as very early. Today have backache and loosing dark red blood. Fearing the worst and very emotional. Never m/c before and if this is whats happening it feels awful/empty. Really feel for everbody that has gone through it :(

Thank you for your kind words QTPie :)

To add to this worrying time, I expected to loose lots last night and have pain...but nothing! Bleeding has gone back to brown and is extremely light, no pains except for in boobs. Did another HPT this morning and still showing +
What is going on????? I would rather know one way or the other so I can grieve and move on...two week wait is torture!!!!!!

I could go back but EPU but if I am still + I would only be 5 +2 now so no HB would be seen.Confused
Will have to wait my 2 weeks and hope and pray everything will be ok.
Ive had my cry now (hormones are great!!) and it certainly helps to know that you are not alone in this scary roler-coaster pregnancy ride!

Do wait for 2 weeks JUST in case!! What if you are having twins and miscarrying one of them? Or it isn't a miscarriage at all??

If in the end it is bad news I have heard and read by many people (even by a gyn!) that immediately after MC you are very fertile so it wouldn't take long to have another baby :)

kimmycooper · 20/02/2012 16:23

OMG Twins!???
My father in law has mentioned there were twins in the family but I laughed it off!!!
Fate will tell. I consider myself lucky that I have children already :) :)

OK.... Last night I lost a browny coloured clot about 2cm long. No cramps, aches,etc... at all.
Rung EPU and they said when I start to bleed very heavily and have bad pains, then to go in...Nothings happening yet. I have no aches, pains anywhere this morning and just loosing a very light browny blood mainly when wiping..
Has anyone else experienced this, was this my miscarriage??
I feel surprisingly calm about this though Confused

Today, I have found out that after 6 days of loosing bright red blood I have m/c.
Had no pains, cramps or gushing that the doctor said I would get if I was to m/c.
Its heartbreaking looking at the blank screen :(
Any mum to be out there, PLEASE do not wait if you have been told to 'wait and see what happens' when loosing blood. Trust your instincts.

After 'waiting to see what happens' for two weeks nothing actual did and unfortunately I have not passed my pregnancy. Got to go to the hospital tomorrow to take some pills. Wish I did this two weeks ago :(
