I shed a tear over these images earlier today (but then I'm in a Very Bad Mood and, at 27 weeks hormonally skewed...) and though some of you might appreciate a look:

My baby won't come out covered in goo. It will be lovely and clean and rosy cheeked.

oooo wowzers. forgot stinky cold for 10 minutes then and am now crying... they do all look quite big, i hope the hypnobirthing cd's turn up soon ! now wondering a few things about water births so gonna post on it! lovely.

I seriously can't begin to narrow it down to less than... well, about 30! There is only one I actually dislike (number 38 Leilani Rogers Photography) because it looks so staged (may not be, just looks it!) and I don't believe for a moment that the first image is a birth one... Her legs beneath the baby are firmly pressed against each other, and baby/water look remarkably clean.

But the looks of absolute joy/ecstasy/ relief on some of the womens' faces, the looks of wonderment from birth partners, it's all just so incredibly moving and I can't choose. No, I can't - don't make me!

Number 34 is amazing.

Isn't it, UFP? It appears her partner has delivered the baby - midwife not evident.

In a similar vein, isn't her partner just so there with her in Number 30?

But look just above at number 29! Baby emerging and coming up for its first breath - these moments are so precious! And how many of us truly recall every one of our births with total clarity?
