Hello, I am 32 weeks pregnant and have been having a very hard tummy for the last few days. I can see the and feel the baby moving about a LOT day and night. My tummy feels also very heavy and I can't eat much. Is this, plus the hard tummy, normal at this stage? I would be grateful for advice.

Do you think it might be Braxton Hicks contractions? They make my bump very hard, and can last for a while before easing off? If you're worried give your midwife a call to check you out.

Thank you. I don't know if these are Braxton Hicks contractions. It doesn't come in waves, it has been hard continuously for the last few days. I will call my midwife.

Normal. Braxton hicks - no need to worry :)

Thank you! Midwife said it is Braxton Hicks. Does this mean the movements I am feeling (and seeing) is not the baby, but the uterus contracting? It is pretty constant, this feeling. Midwife said I should slow down and take time off work. But I can't see how that would help.

I had this at the same stage. Movements probably are the baby moving.

Braxton hicks make ur tummy really hard I used to get them for hours, but it is all normal.
