anyone else?

i'm 26+2 #2pregnancy, and I have felt tender down there... freaked out the other morning as I felt what i thought was lumps one one outer side. and Dr said its something similar to varicose veins/ different terminology though...

when you feel a lump you initially think the worst, so I was relieved. but still not liking feeling swollen some days? more so in the evening when ive been on my feet all day.

anyone else?

Hi I have the same I am 34 plus 4 . Found them at weekend! According to midwife they are vulva varacosities! Usually disappear after birth.I am going to gp just to get thinks looked at.I sympathise as when on feet all day they ache like anything!!

In my second pregnancy my fanjo got very swollen, the MW just said that it was normal and if there was no pain/bleeding/unusual discharge then not to worry. My friends complained of the same thing, just all that additional pressure down there.

yep, I had this at one side when pregnant with DS2. It freaked me out. They did go after birth though! One day it just popped out Shock. Tis totally normal, if horrible!

I had this when pg with DD. One side just developed a lump. I put it down to general pregnancy wierdness. It disappeared as soon as she was born. Am 22 weeks with DC3 now and no reoccurrence yet!

HappyAsASandboy · 16/02/2012 07:02

Yup, sorry to say this is completely normal and the only treatment is birth!

Be glad you got so far without them - I had them from 11 weeks! Walked like John Wayne despite no bump for months Sad

With DD1 I just felt swollen down there towards the end, but not lumps.
This time I think where I'm on my feet more, hence gravity, and
The fact my body has done it once before it just came up?
Its not always there luckily (yet) but just after a long day.

The swollen feeling is there without lumps some days too.

Wondered if constipation also added pressure?
