looking for advice, Im 38 weeks exactly all day Ive had weird tummy pains with no pattern, and my show I think, sorry , would it be a lot of pink mucous when I wipe?

Tonight about an hour ago I stood up, and I felt wet but no more has come out, I dont know if ive wet myself a bit, eeeekkk Im so scared.

Since then the pains have got more and Ive been in the bath on and of as that helps.

what to do? my guess is I just wait and see. sorry just wanted someone to tell as I feel really silly not knowing enough!

Do you think your waters might be leaking? If might be a good idea to call the mw/hosp? Sounds like something could be underway! Good luck!

Have you tried calling a midwife to see what they think?

38 weeks counts as full-term, so funny symptoms could be the start of labour?

morethemerrier · 14/02/2012 21:38

Yes, all that points to early labour!

If you lie down for a bit then stand up and see if any more liquid trickles out that is a good indicator that your waters may be leaking!

Mine went like that last time. Grin

Good luck x

Sounds promising. Though could still be days if your waters haven't gone. Try and get some rest and call midwives/ hospital if your not sure or contractions are every 5 mins (I think for first). I'm due my 3rd on 29th feb- so I'm jealous things are moving for you! Good luck!

im terrified and excited. Im sure this is it, i lay down and as I got up a huge gush and now a trickle.

My husband phoned the midwife who said to come in, so we going in a bit.

Ive had to stop typing throughthis as i had a huge contraction, took my breath away, lasted about 45 secs and another one about 4 mins later.

thanks

Thanks everyone, Freddie James was born at 12.40am this morning, a water baby.

he is fine and gorgeous, a dinky 5lb 5oz.

I had a haemorrhage when some of the placnta didnt come and had to go to theatre and ended up with a GA and tranfusion, but ok now. May need another transfusion tonight.
Scarey time for hubbie! I was pretty much unaware.

Main thing is we have our gorgeous bundle.

Oh WOW!!! Massive congratulations! Grin

I said to my DH that you were well on your way when you posted that you had to stop typing as they were so strong, hence my 'Go now' reply!

Gorgeous name, very scary that you had a bit of a traumatic time but at the speed things went it doesn't surprise me. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I honestly thought you would post saying you had him at home or in the car park! Shock

Well done, take it easy and enjoy little Freddie (love it, also on my list, exp DC4 in 7 weeks)! And thanks for the update, after the rough time you have had, I often wonder what the outcome was so its always nice to hear such a lovely ending, its made my day! Grin
