Um like caviar? taramasalata? Battered!?! I'm confused?

I've indulged a few times (I'm 27+2) but only from nice restaurants where I'd trust the quality of the fish. I really don't know if there are any mercury issues with regards to fish eggs, so I've kept it to a few servings.
