Hi this is my third pregnancy Ive got 2 boys and have had 2 MCs.

Im not getting many symptoms with this pregnancy but I am going the toilet a LOT! I am usually very irregular like once every three days Im 6 weeks pregnant and am now going 2-3 times a day its not runny its normal but I heard constipation is common not this?

Im really worrying something is wrong or Im going to miscarry again and this is a sign. Has any one else been the opposite?

Sorry if I sound dramatic but Ive had 2 losses so I get paranoid.

Thanks

Hi Sweetness, I'm 9 weeks and I'm, erm, rather loose too. Normally just the one poo a day for me, but now it's two. I read that constipation is more common, but it is not unusual for it to go the other way and is no indication of a problem. It's got to be better than constipation, hey?!

Thank God its happening to someone else its not in any baby books or anything Ive read about pregnancy. You have helped thankyou and defo better than being blocked :/

I am now 34wks pg but had the squits early on for what felt like ages. We went to a wedding when I was 9wks and had to leave pretty sharpish.. Posh. Not fun at the time!

Then, when I got to the second trimester the opposite happened, I think that for me anyway it's all part of the glamour of being pregnant.

If you are really worried though, you could check with your GP or Midwife.

Unusual digestive processes are normal and it can go both ways. I've had 2 healthy pregnancies and really loose bowels in the first trimester both times. Midwife said it was hormonal.

That is very reassuring thanks its just Im not used to going the loo this much its a nice change in one way but also I thought it is against the norm.

I had dreadful diahorrea with my pregnancy the mw recommended eating a banana a day which was great, she said it's not that uncommon for women to have this reaction either. It may have been down to anaemia though so make sure your iron count is all right. Good luck Smile

Im 30 weeks now, posted last week about having explosive bowels all the time, and I had the same earlier in my pregnancy I think some of us are just rather unlucky - If I take pregnancy vitamins I have awful awful constipation, Im not sure whats worse!
