For the last 10 days or so I have been feeling totally exhausted. It is a huge effort to stand up, walk, do anything that isn't sitting down. I could sleep the clock round, which is totally unlike me. Had 12 hours sleep last night and all I want to do is go back to bed!

I have a toddler and a job (3 days a week) so extra sleep is not an option. I don't have any holiday entitlement left so can't take time off for at least 6 weeks. My DP does more than his fair share round the house. Any ideas? I don't have a midwife at the moment to ask...

I was like that with DD2's partly due to metabolism but also but very low blood pressure. I am afraid there wasn't much to do to make it better, just rest and take it easy (easier).
For the metabolism part what help was to have 5 or 6 little meals during the day (sometime more).

In case it is low blood pressure; I would get it check, if it is really bad and doesn't go away the GP would/should put you on medical rest from work.

Also have you tried exercising more? sometime a lack of exercise (brisk walk, swimming...) makes you feel really tired. Just do it once, if it is that you will feel better after the exercise, if not you won't be able to finnish the session due to exhaustion and don't insist.

That's interesting as my BP does tend to be low. I am walking etc as I don't have much choice if I'm going to get to the shops, work, toddler group (no car) but I am really struggling, normally I'm quite active.

Will make an appointment with GP and see how I get on between now and then.
