Hi

I am 33 weeks + 4
I got up in the night to go for a wee and there was a lot of pressure down below. When i went to the loo i felt like i had to push to wee out.
Then when i woke up and got out of bed it felt very 'warm' between my legs...I went down stairs to see DH off to work and i dripped what seemed to be a cear whiteish liquid onto our lovely black carpet! ( i know, no pants on but i'd only just got up sorry for tmi!!) and was wet on the inside of my thighs.
I wiped and there seems to be nothing but a real pale yellow on the tissue
My waters broke at 34+5 with DD 9 months ago
Just after some help here...

Thanks, oh and good morning!

Could be! Contact your midwife/labour ward.

riamay2011 · 13/02/2012 08:01

Time to give labour ward a ring!!! good luck!

Joygirl78 · 13/02/2012 09:34

Sounds like they are leaking rather than gone. But they may well go at once, especially if you stay active ie walking around. Put on a big pad and have a old bathroom towel at the ready. With dc1 mine were leaking while I was out. I waddled back with my legs clenched, and got to my kitchen knowing that they would then suddenly gush - and they did! Avoid the nice carpet!

SOunds similar to when I had Dd2 ( DD1 40+2 DD2 38+4) Oh and it was a very fast labour as well ....Good Luck !

riamay2011 · 13/02/2012 09:57

Hi Ladies
I rang labour ward and they said sounds like discharge or a dislodged plug..
I'm not convienced. I dont feel right today. I feel sick and have a headache and back ache.
Surely 33 weeks is too early again :(
Why were labour ward so un helpful..... Sad

Could you call your midwife and see if shell pop and see you to asess whats going on?x

MumbleMumm · 13/02/2012 10:07

Call them again - you know your body. Request that someone check you over properly - especially given your history. Good luck Smile

Emsgale · 13/02/2012 10:08

Yes tell them what happened with your dd x

riamay2011 · 13/02/2012 11:17

well ive just rang them back and they have told me to go in given my history. i told them i already rang this morning but since then just dont feel right. I have awful back ache and have put a pad on. Apparently they can do a test to see if my waters have gone.

Hey how are you any newx

riamay2011 · 13/02/2012 22:29

Well.....i went in and it took a midwife a doctor and a senior doctor to exam me to come to the conclusion that i was leaking discharge plus "some" liquid which they described as looser than normal. I have been told baby is already 2/5th engaged and doctor said he reckoned i would labour within 2 weeks given my history, position of baby and leakage.
So, what do i think? God only knows we will have to wait and see but ive been told to go in as soon as i feel wet or have the slightest pain :(
I just want this baby out now!!!

Just jumping in here, hope you don't mind! I would ask them about steroids. My dd was born at 36 wks and had breathing problems. If they are expecting your baby to be premature this should be a priority. Second and subsequent babies heads don't tend to engage until you are in labour so could be any time. I hope all goes well for you and the baby.

Emsgale · 13/02/2012 22:52

I would ask about steroids also!
I hope things go ok for you xxx

riamay2011 · 13/02/2012 22:59

Ive looked on the net about baby being engaged and theyre saying i could still go over?? What or who do i believe? Parents or dr??
I asked about steriods and he said if i do labour around 35 weeks ill have them but not after.....

I guess be guided by your team as they know you and have examined you. I got steroids at 34 wks with dd1 as a precautionary measure, i had PE, she ended up staying put until 37 wks they don't tend to wait until you are in labour if there is a risk. With dd2 I had PE again and was admitted at 34 wks for a couple of nights and again asked for steroids and they told me that normally once beyond 34 wks they don't give them and then dd2 had respiratory problems and was in scbu for 10 days so I really wish I had pushed for them. I am now 28 wks with no 3 and any probs at all and I will be pushing for them.

riamay2011 · 14/02/2012 08:03

Managed to sleep ok last night DD was only up once for a feed. Am anxious now after being told i have 2 weeks, maybe i should push for steriods?
DD was born at 35 weeks i had steriods with her at 34 weeks.
I thought if baby was engaged i wouldnt feel it moving as much but its so low i feels like its gonna come out sometimes!
Sometimes i get like pins and needles down below for ages should i mention that?
Oh and i still have no double pram or crib! Maybe we should get moving????
Xx

Ok so thought i would post again and see what you ladies think as google is failing me!
I have a sort of period pain but its low down and feel like its in my back passage too....its right under my bump and up my moo...
Any thoughts

minceorotherwise · 14/02/2012 08:46

Well, they did say to go back in if you had pain, so I'd be getting dressed and ready to go...

morethemerrier · 14/02/2012 09:27

I would say go in and get checked out, even if they put you on a monitor at least you can ask some more about steroids, just turn up otherwise no doubt you will be 'advised' something else by another member of staff.

As mince said they have already told you to go back with the symptoms you are describing.

Good luck !

Traceymac2 · 14/02/2012 11:29

I am a bit late but I agree with the other posters. You should go in. Good luck.

mrsallcock · 16/02/2012 19:32
