Hospital bag for a 2 night stay?

I'm likely to be in hospital for 2 night due to borderline GD so I need some advice on what I need in my hospital bag? Actually not so much what I need but how many of each - e.g. vests, sleepsuits, nappies, maternity towels etc. Also, any snack ideas? Every list I see advises taking snacks but as I'm having to lay off biscuits, fruit and everything else I can think of which would make a good snack I'm hoping that some other ladies with GD can come up with some some suggestions that don't involve celery and carrot sticks!!!

Hi, I shall be in for approx 2 days with my c-section, Im taking 2 nighties for me & lots of big pants (10 pairs).. for bubba.. 6 of everything vests & babygrows plus the special one to dress him in after delivery. hats & mitts. whole pack of nappies & cotton wool. Then packed a seperate bag for my mum to bring up along with car seat when Im discharged.. containing clothes for me & baby to come home in, his warm snowsuit & a blanket.

Sorry no advice on snacks for the GD bit, but deffo taking my own drinks as I can't stand non chilled tapwater that you always get!! Good luck.x

I was thinking along the same lines as you but when I looked at the pile of stuff accumulating in my spare room ready for the bag it started to look like overkill! Is it worth taking daytime clothes or will I be too tired to change out of my nightie? Might sound like a daft question but I've never even spent a day in hospital before so really have no idea what to expect! Good luck with your c-section! x
