Are these Ok to eat in pregnancy? I know you have to avoid Mr Whippy type. Not sure about these and how they are made/ prepared.

Thanks.

About 18 months ago, they had a deal for free sundae with every meal, I must have eaten 5 or 6 over a period of 2 weeks (cooking made me sick!) before I realised it was a mr whippy consistency - oops!!! Sorry that doesn't really answer your question, I was 6 months pg at the time and all was ok with me. Not sure the "official" stance but there is a thread further down about if it's safe to eat certain foods and quoting different study groups. I think at the end of the day only you can make the decision.

I think if wherever is doing the Mr Whippy ice cream is busy with a high turnover of icecream, you are probably safe. As I understand it, the problem arises when its left sitting in the machine for yonks.
I have a McFlurry if I fancy it, and a McDs milkshake if I want, cos it's always busy. I figure that I've never been ill with one before, so there's a very remote chance I'd be ill with one now. Up to you and what you are happy with though.
