When to buy...

Bit of a silly question really but for some reason I'm not inclined to buy anything yet and I don't know why Hmm
I'm 22 weeks PG and the scan showed everything being absolutely fine. I promised myself to buy something if I was able to confirm that but I'm still putting it off ...
I guess I want to hear someone say 'go ahead and buy something' -- I don't know why I feel I'm jinxing myself. I have 3 healthy DC and I bought for them all around the same time.
Any cajoling here? :)

I'm the wrong person to ask - didn't buy a thing until 38 weeks - was fine! Hope you get the kick up the bum you want. Wink

Maybe you're just not ready yet, and so what? :)

it is nobody's business but yours. do what is comfortable for you.
i have never given birth to a baby that i have taken home afterwards, but i am buying small number of things each time especially if it is offered with good discount because if i don't nobody will later. i have no family in this country, my friends are great but all working ft and my dh is disabled, so he won't be able to travel around picking up stuff (especially if we get something cheap off ebay or gumtree). so i know i have to rely on myself and buying things with a tiny baby in the house is harder than now when i feel reasonably good and can plan my time.

btw, i do not believe in "jinxing" despite my poor track record in making babies. i am very successful in other areas though, so the same jinxing doen't work there somehow...

Bemybebe, I am sorry for your loss.

LOL, Snowbeetle, that's all I wanted I think, a good old kick up the bum!
I was being silly. Hormonal day, killer SPD and lively kids.

Bemybebe -- I'm sorry for your loss, we are on the same ante-natal thread btw. My post was a bit of anxiety about not having done anything in preparation for DC4 and entirely my own anxieties for personal reasons. The jinxing is just a reflection of an anxiety. I wish you all the best with this pregnancy and look fwd to your all your updates on the thread. Take care.

OOooo - hormonal - killer SPD and lively kids. No wonder you were feeling all discombobulated!

Hope you have your chin up today and someone gives you a nice cuppa and feet up moment. :)

Bemybebe good luck with your pregnancy - wishing you all the best. Thanks
