3rd midwife appointment at home where midwife just didn't turn up!

This is starting to get very annoying now. It seems my midwife thinks I have nothing better to do than sit around all morning waiting for people who will never come.

Today was the third appointment she has not shown up to, to be fair the second time she said she was delayed at a birth but 3 times on the trot is a bit much. I still haven't had my booking in appointment yet as a result and I'm almost 15 weeks pregnant now.

She may be the most competent midwife in the world but that's really not the impression I am getting.

mmmm shouldn't you be going to her at the general clinic?

in my area, if the assigned midwife can't make it to clinic then another midwife will cover.

Hi Gallic , all 3 times I've offered to go into clinic but she's said that she's happy to make visits at home. I'd actually RATHER see her in clinic if I'm honest, so I don't have to vac up as its more likely she'll actually be there, as I've not had much luck so far.

You really need to take this further, maybe your GP surgery can help?

By now you should have had your dating scan, blood tests and at the dating scan they do the measurement for the nuchal fold to test risk of Downs Syndrome. This can only be done between 11 and 14 weeks so a HUGE fail on the part of your midwife.

Perhaps you need to tell the MW you are coming to clinic? Home visits are a PITA I admit.

I agree with gallic you should have had all those things done by now. Please find out when the next clinic is and don't take no for an answer!
