it took me a long time to recover from this pyscially and mentally

has anyone experinced anything similar and did u go on to have another baby?

Yep - I had a EMCS after long labour and also took long time to recover in all senses. Probably only really dealt with it all about a year after birth of DD. Anyway, now have DS who is nearly 3 years younger, I couldn't contemplate same thing happening again so had planned section. No regrets at all - if I hadn't had planned section I wouldn't have had a sibling for my daughter. In the end I couldn't have had VB anyway, but even if I could have done so physically, mentally I couldn't have coped.Second section was much better - very odd walking in to the theatre and knowing what was going to happen, but recovery was much quicker as I hadn't laboured. Having said all this, many people have successful VBAC, but it wasn't for me.
Now have two lovely kids and I couldn't care less that both were sections - you give birth to have a baby, not a birth experience.
Good luck.
