Should I be panicking?

I'm 39 weeks tomorrow with DD1. About 4 hours ago I started losing fluid which I thought was my waters breaking, but no sign of any contractions yet. I've lost a whole lot more in the past half hour or so (sorry, probably too much information!), DD is still moving but not as much as she was before, though that could be my imagination. I have been measuring just over normal for the past few weeks as I've had polyhydramnios, though DD is measuring small for dates so although I'm nearly full term I do want to hang on a bit longer IYWSIM. My bump feels like it's shunk quite drastically but still no signs of anything happening/anything wrong.

I have been suffering from anxiety for the last few weeks so I know this could just be me overreacting completely, it's my first DC so I don't really know what to expect. So should I be panicking, or is this OK and I'm just being paranoid?

Ring the ward and they will tell you what to do. Then you'll know whether to go in or whether to try and get some sleep. Don't leave it if her movements have changed. Good luck.

Hope you rang the ward for advice. 39 weeks is classed as at term, anything from 37 weeks is, so there is no need to hang on if baby is ready! :)

Only just seen this. Hopefully with you not coming back it means that you've had or are having the baby. Good luck

definitely ring labour ward, they will most likel ask you to come in for monitoring esp as you've got polyhydramnios.

waters going is definitely a sign to speak to your midwife !

Well I'm still pregnant!

I went in to hospital to get checked out and although I'd gone from too much fluid to slightly under normal, nothing's happened since. Apparently DD's movements have decreased because she hasn't got as much space! They kept me in all day today but everything seems fine and there's still no sign of labour, so they've sent me home and told me to come back when something new happens.

So that's the good news. The bad news is that DD and I are still spine to spine and she hasn't got much room to turn :( Help!
