I'm 30+4 today and I've not noticed myself having braxton hicks yet

I just felt my bump and a little part of it was rock hard, prob about 4cm x 4cm, just felt it again and its gone squishy again

Do you think that's them?

I didn't have braxton hicks with either of my pregnancies. I don't think they are compulsory.... but I can't help - sorry !

I didn't feel them until quite late in pregnancy.

They were never painful and described perfectly by someone on here as the baby being 'vacuum packed'. Grin

Yep, I agree. I always seem to have to have them whenever I get hooked up to the dopla (?) machine and it is like my whole stomach tenses, a bit like you're holding a sit up position. If it's just a small part of your stomach I think it's more likely it's just the baby that you're feeling and that it's now moved without you realising.

How strange I thought it was a little foot at first but I'm still too early for that I think!

Who knows she's wriggling anyway so I'm not too worried
