Anyone interpreted a 20 week scan themselves and got it wrong...

Just that really!

Am absolutely certain that I saw boys bits at the 20 week scan (the sonographer was measuring the femur so got a clear potty shot). However, in my head, I am convinced I am having a girl. Don't know why!

Anyone thought they were good at determining the sex only to realise that they had got it all wrong?!

Entertain me...one week to go!

What did the sonographer say?
I saw ds1's bits at 20 week scan before she said what he was, it was soooo obvious, i would say that if you are sure of what you saw then expect a blue bundle upon delivery!
Girls bits can look a bit swollen, but they don't stick out as much IYKWIM, can you go for a private scan if you definatly want to know?

Nope, with my DS I saw and correctly identified his 'bits' before they were pointed out to me. I'm no expert by any means but there really, really was no mistaking them. I think I was about 18 weeks too.

OTOH if it hasn't been confirmed to you I suppose you might have been looking at the cord or some such, I do think boys bits are easier to make out though. Either way, congratulations - having a boy is brilliant!!!

My husband looked at the screen and said, 'oh it's a boy then' before the sonographer had time to say anything!

My DH did. We wanted to keep the gender a surprise but ge thought he saw girl bits on the 22 week scan. So convinced was he by what he saw, he refused to discuss boy names with me and took serious convincing to paint over the pink walls in the spare room. He told everyone what he had seen and everyone thought I was having a girl.

Of course, it was a boy.

I'm pregnant again, and again we have decided not to find out. He is convinced he saw a willy on the 22 week scan. Nobody is listening
to him this time!

I was expecting a girl as at our 20 week scan there was nothing waving in the breeze. Bought pink stuff. 22 weeks later out pops a baby with the most enormous willy and scrotum. Not sure where he'd been hiding them.

Ah i'm sure DC 2 is a girl because the sonographer was looking at the kidneys and it deffinately didn't look like a boy, but i only have a boys name so you never know it may be a girl with a winkle :). we didn't want to know the sex BTW its just fun guessing

Thanks ladies!

Have refused to discuss girls names but unlike previous pregnancies, dh and I just can't agree on a boys name...

Time will tell!!

Oh and thank you for keeping me amused during this endless wait...
