Clear Blue Digital????

lj123 · 05/02/2012 17:40

I have taken a few clear blue digital tests in the past and the outcome and date came up at the same time, however.
I have had some bleeding and took a digital test again, the word 'PREGNANT' came up but the weeks took the whole 3mins to come up.
What are your stories and what do you think.

Pregnant came up first and then the number of weeks took another minute or two, for me.

lj123 · 05/02/2012 17:49

strange, i havnt had that before i was wondering if the bleeding had caused it and maybe my dates are confussed, could it have been close to the week change?
I do think i am about to mc again though! x

How many weeks came up? And how many did you think you should be?
Bleeding very very common but I know why you're worried.

lj123 · 05/02/2012 17:59

i was waiting for it to say 2-3 weeks but it said 1-2 weeks, i hate waiting, i have an early scan wednesday but dont want to go if theres dissapointment at the end so i wanted to know before.
I have also heard that some women have been 6 weeks and it has told them 1-2 im only hoping this is common and true.x

Hope everything is ok for you, you must be really worried Sad

igggi · 05/02/2012 18:25

Clearblue is the work of the devil, isn't it? I wouldn't miss your scan appt, it's much better to get a proper look at what's going on - even if it did turn out to be bad news. (I've been there several times).

lj123 · 05/02/2012 18:37

it is indeed, i have another to take tomorrow am just to be sure, Its just sooo difficult!
i will keep the appointment, maybe that is a good idea, just know if the answer is the wrong one itl ruin me again!

Well that's a good start, should keep you going till your scan appt Smile
There is no way not to worry, the first weeks of pg are fraught with worry after you've had a mc. Good luck.

Joygirl78 · 06/02/2012 07:05

A cheapo strip test from Internet or pound land is just as effective. Surprised you have an early scan this week if you think you are 2-3 weeks. They can't confirm pregnancy with an internal scan until at least 6 weeks as no heart beat or spinal column will be visible until then?

ShowOfHands · 06/02/2012 07:12

I bloody well hate clearblue making money out of vulnerable women. Those conception indicators should be fricking banned.

Good luck with your scan.

Joygirl, the indicator is from conception so 2-3 weeks is 4-5 weeks pregnant and they'll be looking for location of pregnancy only I think. As you say little else will be visible this early.

popcornchicken · 06/02/2012 09:48

i took clear blue and it told me i was 2 weeks and was actually 7 weeks and now it has convinced me im going to b later then my due date sure everythink will be fine :D xx

user59457812 · 06/02/2012 10:01

Those conception indicator tests cause nothing but anxiety - I really wish they weren't on the market. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen ladies on here really worried by the result. I've been there - it nearly sent me insane!

TBH now you've done the last test, I wouldn't do any more before your scan. The conception indicators are famously unreliable (if you read the info sheet they even say they are not accurate in many cases). As you say, if you're even more pregnant than you think it can give a weird result, if your wee is a bit weaker from one test to the other it can give a different result, nightmare!

Alibobster · 06/02/2012 10:35

Lj123 this happened to me the other day, it flashed up pregnant but then took another few minutes to give the number of weeks. I phoned their helpline and they confirmed it should have came up at the same time therefore it was a faulty test. They sent me another in the post. Good luck with your scan x

igggi · 06/02/2012 10:41

I must've had a lot of faulty tests as mine have always (maybe 5 times?) done that!
Wish I'd asked them for replacements!

lj123 · 07/02/2012 22:15

I can agree they make lots of money as i purchased 6 to keep track of my weeks!
I took the test that said 2-3 weeks at 7pm sunday so it may have been slightly effected by that.x

I thought they only went as far as 3+ weeks no matter how far you are?

lj123 · 07/02/2012 22:27

they do but when it says 1-2 weeks your doctor will date it from your last period which would make it 3-4 weeks etc.

I personally never had any problems with their tests. I think they are brilliant.

Maybe you can find answer to your questions from here www.clearblue.com/uk/new-clearblue-digital-pregnancy-test-with-conception-indicator-faq.php

igggi · 08/02/2012 06:45

Sandra the OP took two tests on the same day that gave her different results - which might make her think she was miscarrying. I doubt her fears are resolved in a FAQ list!

Sandra2011 · 08/02/2012 09:51

I was only saying what my experience was.

3 times I have bought the double pack. So I have done 6 tests all together, not a single problem.
