has anyone found either? I'm starting to dread trying to swallow the massive tablets due to nausea. I did google but I didn't recognise any of the brand names and am slightly wary of just ordering without a recommendation.

Thanks

I've got some liquid iron called ferroglobin that's got folic acid and other b vitamins in it too, if you take 5ml 3 times a day you get 450mcg of folic acid, which is just over the recommended amount for the first trimester. It's made by vitabiotics and they sell it in sainsburys. It's safe to take during pregnancy, and doesn't taste too bad, in fact it's quite sweet.

I have the same problem re: swallowing tablets so got a pill crusher from Boots (Superdrug also have them) for about £2, job done! :)

Great suggestions, thanks. Am hopeful the liquid will be tolerable but off to get a crusher as back up! I'm amazed there aren't more easy to take options.

A friend of mine won a month's supply of Water Baby Vitamin Water and gave it to me as she wasn't even pregnant!

I found it quite nice, but I'm not sure that I'd have paid for it unless I'd had pretty serious nausea, as it's quite dear!

I found that even when I crushed Pregnacare multivitamins (and pierced the Omega 3 one) they both tasted absolutely foul (I don't swallow the bits fast enough, I know)! Still looking for that all elusive sweetie-tasting pregnancy multivitamin (have an absolute phobia about swallowing any kind of tablets).

If you stir the crushed up vitamin into either yogurt or a thick smoothie and eat/drink quickly you don't really taste it.

I am also amazed though that there aren't any soluble/liquid pre-natal vitamins. Or even if they were the size of folic acid tablets, that I can tolerate but anything bigger i'm stuffed!
