Have just realised that this is a leap year.
Do they take this into account when working out your EDD?
I know working these things out isn't an exact science.
Like I said just curious.

Did anyone else think braxton hicks felt like the baby was stretching like a starfish and was just being a space hog like DH is in bed?

Anyone else lost the ability to remember anymore than two numbers for more than 30 seconds?

Feel free to add your random mentalness. :o

I became completely thick when pregnant. DP would say something simple to me like "Are you going to turn the telly off?" and I'd not have a clue what he'd said, he'd repeat this three or four times with me looking completely blank saying "sorry I don't know what you're saying" and eventually he'd go and turn it off. For some reason my brain lost the ability to be able to translate basic questions. I regularly walked into rooms not knowing what I was doing there and tried putting the washing in the bin many many times.

Not a clue about EDD though Smile

Those wheel things midwifes use dont account for the leap year so you need to remind them to take a day off (if they calculate it using a wheel). Best bet is to use an online calculator :) Or add 40 weeks from the date of your last period.

The 12 week scan will sort it out for you though.

BH's felt like DS doing a roly poly!

Ah hah! Thanks for clearing up the mystery of why my self-calculated due date and the GP's were one day off. In my case, I know I didn't take into account the leap year, and the GP must have.
