Hi there! Am 31 weeks today (yipee!!!....only 9 more working days) and for some time now have been having pain in my hips during the night and in the morning. Also, pain in what I think is the back of my pelvis??? Literally the bony bits you sit on. Not that there's much bone visible ANYWHERE any more thx to all the padding Any ideas?

ouch me too. Am 21 weeks and have real pain in hips during the night. I have read that it is good to sleep on a folded duvet but haven't tried this as have 5 pillows on the go already at the mo! I just wake up, get up for a wee and get back into bed then it doesn't seem to bad for another couple of hours. I guess everything is moving and expanding so that may explain your sit bones?

I have similar pains and have had for most of pregnancy, been told it is PGP went to physio session who gave advice about not opening your legs too wide, dont sit too long dont stand too long etc.

I am 31 weeks today too! Yippee!!! Ready for an Easter Sunday baby? :)

I have been lucky with the hips so far, but have a pain that feels bone-related around my inner thigh.

I'm afraid I can't be much help, but I've heard that pain around hips etc can progress more slowly if you keep up the daily walks etc...slowly and not intensely of course!

All the best.

*Hey, I've also been having discomfort there, I didnt with DD1 (15m ago) but this time around I think its due to having to lift a lot, and also i'm on my own at the mo as DP is away. so i'm doing everything for DD & I...

I am carrying all up front again and I think that this plays havoc on my small frame.. The night time isnt a problem, its getting up from bending down, or lifting etc.

Thx for replies! Pregnancy does wonderfully strange things to our bodies eh? Congrats Spannermary on your due date! Wonder if either of us will actually have an Easter Sunday baby!!!
