routine 33 wk scans?

I got told today by someone whose hospital is in london that she is being offered a routine 33 wk scan, and they just started doing that this year. Is this true? I have tried to look it up on google but can't find anything. It occured to me that maybe they told her it was routine and it actually isn't, so as not to worry her about something that might be irregular, but maybe that's just paranoid of me!

If anyone knows anything about this I'd appreciate the info, thanks!

My hospital, Kings in London, offer a routine 32-33 week scan so maybe your friend is at the Same hospital? It is to check baby's growth, positioning, placenta positioning, cord blood flow etc. I'm sure your friend has nothing to worry about!

There are some hospitals that do but most don't at the moment.
