Fingers crossed to all of us who are close to the end of their pregnancy.

We already have about 5 cm snow and it's still snowing.

I really really hope my baby is not coming out today Confused

Me too i've got c section on monday, family all 50 mins away across country roads. Hoping it dont start early as i need to get to hospital sooner rather than later and would have to wait for someone to get dd.

MiauMau · 04/02/2012 20:58

My due date is on the 14th. Why can't February be like this past January?
Feeling worried about DS and my mum who's coming from Portugal and never had to deal with proper cold.

Enfyshedd · 05/02/2012 13:30

Never mind stupid snow. Stupid rain last night has soaked into and under the snow and it's now icey underfoot. Can't walk further that 30ft from my front door without feet starting to slide. Hoping it all melts this afternoon (am in South Wales), but not going to risk going out to watch the rugby down the pub :(

I have never been a fan of the Snow even as a kid... but at 37 plus 2 I really hate it!!! I don't drive so I have to walk everywhere or public transport. Dreading the walk to school tomorrow if it's open!! :( My mum who is my birthing partner hates driving in the snow so after wishing my little lodger out for the last few days now I am willing him to stay in until snow is gone!!

MiauMau · 05/02/2012 16:20

I tried to go out for a little bit, just to get a bit of exercise and to look at the park covered in snow but, DP dragged me back in as soon as I started slipping :(

Tinkerisdead · 05/02/2012 17:19

Well my mil has arrived. Im having mild contractions every five mins for 30 secs and she's freaking out that i need to get to hospital. But no way am i venturing out for them to send me home until tomorrows section. We took dd sledging and i think the big walk up hill set me off!!

ZhenThereWereTwo · 05/02/2012 17:26

Decided not to go out in it today despite DD really wanting to as don't want to fall and go into labour yet. 37 weeks tomorrow.

TheDoctors have you called hospital yet? At 5 mins lasting 30 seconds with a CS planned it would be wise to get their advice.

surfmama · 05/02/2012 18:47

oooo doctors what is happening? thinking of you...

Tinkerisdead · 05/02/2012 21:15

Im still here. Gutted. Went to shower with my anti MRSA stuff all geared up and it bloody stopped. Still getting tightenings and baby is really pushing against cervix which is soreish but nothing that i can ring in with. So i reckon i'll be going with the c section planned. Mind you i'm booked in for 7.30am so not long to wait. Hope snow and ice subsides though or i'll have to set out at 5am!

surfmama · 05/02/2012 21:21

awww wishing you a clear journey and happy delivery... post back and do give repport!!!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/02/2012 21:28

Have any of you lucky pregnant ladies seen those rubber spikes things that go on yOur shoes for snow and ice? Better ware, or possibly kleeneaze, sell them, I have a pair and they are bloody excellent!

FootprintsInTheSnow · 05/02/2012 21:34

Good luck - DoctorsWife.

everyone else - courage - I really believe that old chestnut that baby won't come out while the mum is feeling insecure. So, if snow babies are difficult and stressful for you - the baby will wait for the thaw.

ZhenThereWereTwo · 05/02/2012 21:39

Good luck tomorrow TheDoctorsWife46, hope you get a good rest tonight.

My mum has just bought a pair of those Saggy, must ask her where she got them.

MiauMau · 05/02/2012 23:58

where can I buy them?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 06/02/2012 00:46

Mine came from EBay, but Betterware sell them. here

MiauMau · 06/02/2012 10:13

I had never heard of betterware before Blush

Tinkerisdead · 10/02/2012 12:49
