Hi all, I am 37 weeks tomorrow and would appreciate a sounding board for some changes in the last day or two. I've been getting a lot of pressure in my pelvic region - actually feels like a vice pushing my pelvis apart but with a tonne of bricks on top. This is together with really bad back pain - more acute than before and a throbbing feeling really centred and low. It doesn't come and go as such, more hangs around for an hour or two then nothing. I'm also leaking a little bit - nothing major but definitely not pee or discharge. DH has been through this before and is convinced that she is on her way. Last midwife appointment was a couple of days ago and she couldn't tell whether bubs was breech or just very engaged as she couldn't feel her head anywhere - I have a scan booked for Tuesday incase. I'm not worried as such just curious. Any opinions?

sounds to me like baby is just dropping right down and everything is softening up and getting ready.
doesn't mean labour is imminent unfortunately, i can remember being really uncomfy and feeling like i was sitting on a bowling ball for weeks! lol

If you are leaking a bit, then there's a reasonable chance your waters might go! Carry a mat pad with you!

thisisyesterday - thanks for the reassurance, that sounds about right.

Joygirl78 - already got one on so I can monitor the leakage!

Hi would agree that it could be imminent or 4 weeks away! Am 39 weeks and have felt the same for the last 2 weeks (3rd baby) I had a scan yesterday to check position and the head was very low rather than being breech due date tomorrow and nothing yet, good luck and I hope you don't have too long to wait!
