Cranberry in pregnancy?

Hi- until I found out I'm pregnant, I was taking cranberry extract every day to prevent cystitis, as I've had terrible trouble with it. I was just reading online that te extract isn't recommended during pregnancy as there's no evidence to suggest it's safe.
The juice is safe- but they all seem to have sugar/water to make up the carton. Can anyone recommend a decent juice, and also how much I should drink per day?
Thanks!

hello i am taking cranberry caps, mw said it was fine and am taking every other day - they are only equivalent to about 10 cranberries so can't really see they would be a problem to the baby... but check with your mw and make sure they are happy. all the juice is rubbish imo.

I'm also taking the cranberry caps as have had recurrent UTIs this time - ok'd by MW and OB but best run it past the MW/GP. Not sure if they have had any effect yet but I was sick of drinking the juice and "wasted" sugar intake!
