The bloody acid just hit the back of my throat, causing me to throw up all over my hair and jumper, and also into a cup and then the kitchen sink. The sick even came out of my nose, which was really delightful. Pregnancy is so dignified...

I used to burp it up whilst asleep......and then swallow it again!!!

oh love that is a bit evil i hate sick in nose, haven't done that since i was a kid! Now then... i had a yoga lesson and the instructor told me to sit back with kneeling legs, knees wide open if that is more comfortable for a few minutes before eating and a few minutes after eating, it stimulates the digestive energy bits and bobs and stops heartburn, if you can find the time give it a go?

Yup. Spontaneous regurgitation is now commonplace in the Mortmain household. Is grim.

Oh, thanks for the pain-sharing and the yoga tip! I will try that. It's just so rank.

I got told (similar to surfmama's story) to sit on the yoga ball for 10 minutes after eating to prevent heartburn. Sadly I can't find the pump for the yoga ball so have been unable to test this theory myself, but I offer it up freely for your assistance.

Oooh, thanks, Too*. I have taken to actually eating on my birth ball instead of a dining chair but maybe I need to stop flopping straight back onto the sofa after supper Grin.
