Braxton Hicks at 18 weeks? (2nd pg)

I've just been getting weird tightening sensations at the top of my (smallish) bump and they remind me of the BHs I got towards the end of last pregnancy. Could I really be having braxton hicks this early? Will they go on for the rest of pregnancy? They're not linked to early labour or anything, are they?
Thanks!

Hi,

I've had them since about 18 weeks and i've been told so long as they are irregular I.e. not several together in the space of an hour and not painful (weird feeling and a bit uncomfortable but not painful) then all's well.
Apparently most women have them from around 6 weeks but never really feel them until bump is bigger.

Im 25+2 now and still get them. I notice i get them when i need a pee!

Thank you, I'm glad I'm not alone and it's nothing to worry about. I find them very uncomfortable but not painful. Guess it's another pregnancy thing I'm going to have to live with for the next 5 months!

I'm 18-19 weeks too and have had them a few times I think. I had masses in my first pregnancy and from fairly early, although not as early as this.

I had the same issue the other week and the DR said it was one of those things and not to worry. xx

Yeah mine started around the same time with this 2nd pg. Am now 31 weeks and still get loads. I actually really like them. Weirdo

Had loads with DS2, ended up being checked over twice for early labour as had strong regular pains. All was fine and DS2 was born bang on time. Make sure you drink lots and rest when you can.
