Absolutely exhausted at 33 weeks - normal or worrying?

I'm 33 weeks and until now have been feeling great - full of energy and really healthy.

For the last few days though, I feel like I have really bad jet lag. I feel spaced out half the time, totally exhausted. I'm finding it almost impossible to concentrate on work and sitting at a desk trying to stay awake is just making me feel sick.

I've switched to homworking almost all the time, so I get a decent night's sleep, I don't have to commute, and I am managing a nap for about an hour at lunchtime but it makes no difference. I feel as tired as before I lay down.

Is this a normal part of being in the third trimester, or should I be concerned? My iron levels are fine, the GP suggested I could boost them so I've been on spa tone since before this bout of tiredness, so it doesn't make sense that I'm suddenly iron deficient (I wouldn't be surprised if I wasn't over-doing it now as it's also in my multivit).

Any advice appreciated... Grin

How is your blood pressure? I'm 33 weeks too and feel like I've suddenly hit a brick wall. My bump and weight gain are still pretty small so I don't feel enormous and like I'm hulking myself around, it's more a general lack of ooomph. I was stood in a supermarket queue today and felt like I could faint if I had to stand much longer. My blood pressure's been low all the way through, but this is normal for me. I think maybe I'm just feeling the effects of it now. My iron levels are fine too apparently.

I'm only 32 weeks but have also found similar this week. Just all of a sudden, doing anything wipes me out. I can totally relate to the 'brick wall' feeling Confused.

Sorry I can't offer any advice but am watching with interest in case someone else can!

I hit the wall of tiredness about 34 weeks and I hate to say it, but think it's completely normal! Just a combination of being so huge and heavy, and ready for it all to end!!

I can sympathise. I'm 33 weeks tomorrow and feeling exhausted! Needing a nsp most days now. God knows how I managed in my first pregnancy, I was still working full time plus being called out of my bed at all hours of the night to dash into work when on call. This pregnancy is sooooo different!
