If you are irregular with Af, when do they book your dating scan in for?

Is it 12 weeks from your last period? If it dates you less than 12 weeks, do they do it again?

I was diagnosed with Annovulation, and was blessed with DD (14mo) after a long 6 year journey involving a couple of cycles of IVF.

Well we had an appointment to start the roller coaster again, last Wednesday and as I need drugs to bring on AF had to POAS.

Only a BFP! Couldn't stop crying in shock!

Only problem is I'm not sue of when my last AF was (I think November-ish)

I'm seeing the Midwife Monday, and will be under consulant led care (Pre-eclampsia, emergency C-Section, followed by pullmonary embolism, pneumonia & cardio-myopathy after the birth! Why did I want anotherGrin)

I seems so strange after everything being so precise last time!

If its just a dating scan then you will get one when they think 12 weeks is (in your case this will be 12 weeks from when you think your last period is), and not another even if your dates move (unless you are significantly under 12 weeks - think measuring 9ish or less). Obviously if your hospital does other tests at the same time then you're more likely to need a second "12 week" scan if you're early.

Congratulations and hope it all goes better this time!

Well my GP who I saw has said that I could be 11 weeks! I don't think I am anywhere near that though, my gut feeling is 6-8 weeks, but I am prepared to be shocked!

I guess I need to wait and see!
