I am 32 weeks pg, my boobs started leeking milk at 20 weeks but now seem to have stoped, they dont feel as big and hard as they were, does this mean they have stoped producing milk and wont produce anymore? Does this mean there is somthing wrong with the baby? Realy worried it could be a sign of somthing wrong as my bump is very small and i am just getting over a UTI. Please put my mind at rest.

Don't worry. Milk doesn't come in until after baby is born. Probably just hormones up and down.

Marne, don't worry. It's really normal to leak, or not leak, or to leak for a while and then stop, and then start again, and then stop again...iyswim?

Whether or not your breasts leak colostrum during pregnancy has absolutely no bearing on your milk supply post-birth. As I'm sure you know, this is controlled on a supply-and-demand basis - the more the baby feeds, the more milk you'll produce.

And please don't worry that there's something wrong with your baby - all your antenatal checks have been fine, yes? Feeling lots of movements? You say your bump is very small - are you actually measuring small for your dates or have you just got a compact bump, iyswim?

Bump measured below avrage last time i saw midwife, got to see her again next week to see if bump has grown. Plenty of movemaents.

Dont worry about it measuring "below average". That's the whole point of an average - some are bigger, some are smaller.

My boobs leaked the first time for the first 4 months loads and loads, and then stopped completely! This time round I had way more milk after the birth but I didn't leak once.. it doesn't mean a thing and I measured small this time and large last time last time I had a 5 pounder at 37 weeks, this time I had a 6.6 pounder at 37 weeks... they just like to blind you with silly medical science that has not much bearing on reality I think!

I only had one leak, Xmas eve when I was 7 months gone, then nothing else. It really doesn't mean anything, as milk comes in after the birth. if your mw has any further concerns she will refer you for a growth scan.
