I'm 18 weeks and the last week have been having terrible pain in my lower stomach. The pain is pretty much there all the time, worse when I'm walking, whips from the back, and goes down my legs. I also have had stabbing pains in my fanjo. Mw said it was braxton hicks but it's there all the time, Its keeping me awake and I am struggling to walk short distances without stopping due to the pain. :(
Does it sound like spd and what do I do?

I would make an appointment with the doctor, that's what I did. My midwife seems to mainly just fill in forms and do blood tests, not much help with anything else.

It sounds like it could be, but I'm sure there are other things it could be too. Hopefully for you something less unpleasant than SPD.

I had pelvic girdle pain in my first pregnacy from week 6 - pain at back in my bum and also spd - pain in front in pubic bone. It was horrible, and I was in a wheelchair for the last trimester as I couldn't take a step. I hope you don't have it, but to get checked out, ask your midwife if there is an obstetric physio you can see at the hospital. For now, don't do anything that hurts, it'll just make the pain worse in the long run. Good luck!

DP took me to the gps and she said I have am unstable pelvis and to take it easy. Woke up twice last night with pain on moving in my sleep. It's ok if I take things really easy and walk very slowly.
