seeing baby's movements so early: normal?

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and earlier in the week noticed my stomach moving as the baby moved. The stomach went up as the baby kicked/pushed. Now I'm sure last time this didn't happen until much later when I was much bigger. I don't think I could see the movements until I was in the last 30s although obviously I could feel them much sooner. So it is normal to be able to see the movements so early or am I expecting a very big baby -eek?

I'm the same, this is my 3rd baby and am now 25wks gone. Have been seeing tummy moving all over the place for a few weeks now, I was just saying earlier that I cannot remember the previous 2 moving around so much or so strongly until much later on.
When I'm in the bath and she kicks she can cause ripples in the water!

could this be because after the 1st baby your muscles are not as strong, and so the babys movements are visable earlier?
of course this might be crap and i might have made this up, im sure someone will be along later to give you a proper answer

So what the two of you are essentially saying is that if I hadn't wanted this I should have done my stomach exercises last time round?. Alas, makes sense as an explanation.

I felt movement as early as 16 weeks and saw movement at 20 weeks, i think you do feel it earlier with 2nd/3rd pregnancy's. Dont worry about it being a big baby as i have been told my baby is going to be small.

Yes. You're stomach muscles are knackered

Your! your! aaagh!

Well I actually saw a kick at 16/17 weeks with dd (my one and only child). I also remember closer to 20 weeks having big hard areas in my stomach, and watching it when I was on holiday. I seem to be the only person to have felt a first one so early - and I was slim and toned then!

Rubles are you sure that wasn't a contraction? I'd had that "hard" kind of feeling sometime ago (maybe wk 19 onwards). I thought baby was moving inside me, although later I've convenienced myself that is a contraction - these days when it happens, I can touch my tummy and feel the harden area. My bb kicks sometime, I can even see the tummy has a sudden small area of "little tent alike". Those are very quick and bb plays hide and seek to make the daddy hard to get it

Maybe I am wrong, I am only the first time mother.
