I checked my weight after weeks because I caught sight of myself in a mirror last night and I looked pregnant. But the scales says I have actually lost close to 4 kilos from my pre pregnancy weight. I usually eat bread with jam or a couple of boiled eggs for breakfast, then have a huge bowel of fruits throughout the day at work, have stew or rice or soup with bread for lunch and then again probably stew or rice or soup for dinner. I am vegetarian. Am I doing something wrong? Should I change what i eat? is it normal to have not gained weight at all or lost weight at this stage. I am anxious.

I had put on huge amounts by 14 weeks and had a healthy, good weight baby. My friend had lost a couple of stone by 14 weeks but went on to put on a net gain of 5kgs and had a good weight, healthy baby. I think everyone is just different... You diet sounds good to me...maybe add some cheese if you can? X

I only just started gaining weight at 30-32 weeks ish. So long as your eating properly and ur mw is happy I wouldn't worry about it

I found that I lost 1lb in the first trimester as I had lost my appetite a bit and was also losing some muscle due to not exercising. I more than made up for it in the 2nd and (especially) 3rd trimesters! If the baby's measurements are/were fine at the scan and you haven't dropped to an unhealthy weight, I wouldn't worry. If you're still concerned you could always ask at your next mw appt.
