I admit to being just a teeny bit scared. Baby has been breach since day 1 pretty much. C-section booked for 20th Feb, and last night my braxton hicks turned painful, and lasted a lot longer than they should, so I was told to go into hospital which I did. They kept me overnight incase I went into early labour, and had 2 scans during which I was told baby had moved from breach into transverse, and then oblique. Due to the movements I was having, the Drs told me I needed to be in hospital for monitoring from 37 weeks until baby is born!
I'm terrified! Has anyone got any (preferably positive) stories about this? My drs said they want me in as if I go into labour and baby is in an awkward position, the cord could come out first, and baby has approx 18 mins :( . If it's so bad why not just keep me in from now? I'd never get to hospital in time! I'm miserable because it's my DDs birthday soon, and I'll be in on her day. She's never spent that much time apart from me, and while it's been tricky I have managed to sort out care etc. I'm in a bit of a mess TBH. I'm very, very happy to be having this baby, DH is overjoyed but it's been a hard pregnancy being in hospital so much, and lots going on. I know my drs have to tell me the risks etc but I'm now so scared baby will come early and my head is spinning.
Someone tell me it's OK?
