I am 16 days into my cycle and have just started bleeding. We are ttc so there is a chance I might be pregnant. Is this normal or am I miscarrying? I have never had this before and I have 2 dc and this did not happen. I had a pap smear a week ago. I am so worried .. Anyone any idea??

Do you mean 16 days since the first day of your last period? How long are your cycles usually?

Suzy, thx for quick reply! 16 days since it finished, So 21/22 days from start. They are normally about 28 days?

The only way you will know if you are pregnant or not is to do a test - but 6 days before your period is due is a bit early so might not show up anyway. You could just be having a shorter cycle...

How are you today?

what was your previous period like? It is highly unlikely that you would be having a miscarriage 21 days after a period. It is most likely to be a wonky cycle, it could be implantation bleeding if it was light although you think that isn't the case. If your previous period was much lighter than usual and this one is much heavier then it could conceivably be an early miscarriage although it is probably better, given that you have not had a positive test, to put this down to an irregular cycle and wait and see what happens next month.
