You poor thing, what a traumatic experience. I haven't been through this myself, but just want to offer you a hug.

Yeah I had this, passed the foetus, placenta and everything in one go as I stood up. Was in agony before it happened but pain disappeared as soon as it came out.
We took it to the doctor in a and e and he estimated it was only 5 weeks old. Awful experience and wouldn't wish it on anyone.
But am now healthily 25 weeks into a pregnancy! X

I'm so sorry.

I went through an induction of labour at almost 17 weeks, so, yes, I passed a tiny perfectly formed baby who I held and took photos of.

At the time and for a while afterwards, this section of mumsnet was a lifesaver - you will undoubtably find other women there who are going through, or have been through a similar thing to you. You're not alone.

Take care.

sorry you had to go through this :( i had a MMC at about 6 weeks . had to have the tablet intervention where i passed massive clots. didnt fully work so had a D and C. I cannot imagine how i could have coped if i saw a fetus :(

I had mc at about 6 weeks and passed foetus 2 days after I had a scan to see if I was miscarrying. The Sonographer was horrible and just said she couldnt see a pregnancy and that I should try again. She never warned that I might see foetus, that was such a shock. Hope you look after yourself x

Yes me too, had D&C though so didnt have to pass anything luckily. When you are first pregnant people dont tell you how common it is, 1 in 5. Mumsnet was brilliant, realise you aren't alone and gives you hope for the future. Lots of ladies on the pregnancy thread have been where you are xxx

Thanks for all the replys :) really helped me! I had also been to a dr and told there was no pregnancy, then a few days later this. its awful, i dont think its hit me properly yet x x
